Annie graduated from William Penn High School in 1966. Following graduation, she began working at a hosiery mill. She later became a CNA at Maryfield, which included private sitting. Just prior to retirement, she was a school bus driver for Guilford County Schools. Annie was also a bargain hunter, and thoroughly enjoyed going to yard sales and second-hand stores. She was a devout member of High Point Church of Christ. Annie loved to sing and loved helping people. She enriched the lives of those around her, not just with her beautiful singing voice, but with her unfailing kindness. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Melvin Jackson (Betty); grandchildren, Brandon Jackson (Destiny), Victoria Jackson, and Darius Carter (Lily); great grandson, Isaiah Jackson; and siblings, Dr. Joe Little, Bernita Sims, and Charles Sims.
A visitation for Annie will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10-10:45 AM at Deep River Church of Christ, 2067 Deep River Rd., High Point, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Melvin Jackson, Dr. Joe Little, and Brother John Foster.
The family would like to thank the staff of Westchester Harbour as well as The Church of Christ. A very special thanks to Sharon Flippen for the love and care provided to my mother Annie.
