Anthony "Tony" Morgan Smith

Anthony "Tony" Morgan Smith passed on May 27, 2026, at the age of 62.

Tony was born on April 13, 1964, in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of Melanie and Russell Smith. He was an accomplished master carpenter and was an avid outdoorsman. Tony loved his family and friends and watching the water run by at the Greenbrier River in West Virginia.

Surviving are his loving wife, Heather Hackler Smith; a daughter, Ashton Morgan Smith Trexler and her husband Jonathan Trexler; two grandchildren, Aria Coal Trexler and Caleb Edward Trexler; his mother, Melanie Smith Fannin; a brother, Matthew Smith and wife Sarah and numerous friends who are considered family.

A Celebration of Tony's life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 1 until the service.
