Ms.Smith was born on August 5, 1957, in Guilford County to the late Joseph William “Red” Riley, Sr. and Helen Chilton Riley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Kevin Smith.
She is survived by brothers, Joseph William "Butch" Riley, Jr. of Surry, Virginia and Boyd Elwood "Buddy" Riley and wife, Berta of Randleman; sisters, Joni Johnson of Thomasville; Lynn Robinson and husband Johnny of High Point; Alicia Culler and husband Steve of High Point; and Tara Ball of Graham.
At the request of the family, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
