Mr. Vaughn was born November 12,1929 a son to Johnny and Sally Vaughn of Stokes County. On July 1,1950 he married Colleen Allen Vaughn who survives of the home. Mr. Vaughn is a veteran of the United States Army, 101st "Screaming Eagles " and survivor of the Korean War with combat awards including the Purple Heart. He also worked in the textile and furniture industry for over fifty years for companies to include Burlington Industries and Henredon.
Also surviving are one daughter: Cammie Ann Vaughn Ashby and husband Jeffrey of High Point and Pensacola and one step-grandson, Jeffrey Jr. of Pensacola Fl.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Sechrest Funeral Chapel by the Reverend Timothy James . Internment will follow in the Lebanon Methodist Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family.
