Carolyn Ellen Thompson, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Carolyn was born in Guilford County, November 10, 1958, a daughter of the late Robert Paul Thompson and Betty Jean Harrelson Thompson. She was a long distance truck driver for many years and later delivered buses for Hoosier Transit. Carolyn loved to fish, enjoyed margaritas and Waffle House coffee. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marilyn Thompson; her daughter, Linda Barnhill; her son, Robert "Robbie" Lamm and her long-time companion, Steven Eddy.
Surviving are her sister, Janice Thompson Blakely; four grandchildren, Dalton Hartle, Dailyn Hartle, Alex Barnhill and Amber Barnhill; two aunts, Elaine Daly and Mary Knight; her favorite ex-son-in-law, Billy Hartle and wife Misty Lusk and numerous other family members and friends.
A graveside service will held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Pastor Gary Blakely officiating.
