

Graveside services will be private at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. White was a native of Randolph County and the son of the late J.J. ”Jody” White and the late Icey Cox White.
He served with the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He received the Pacific, Atlantic, Mediterranean and Far East Zone medals. He also participated in the Invasion of Normandy on D Day, June 6, 1944. After the war he transported troops to Japan and Korea on a military troop ship.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Fixer with Indian Head Hosiery, Rice Hosiery and Sara Lee Hosiery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Michael Reynolds White in 2001; his sister, Kathryn Brown; a step-son, David Reynolds; and a step-daughter, Dianne Reynolds.
He is survived by his son, Clyde Graham White, II of Winston-Salem; nephew, Hal (Jeanne) Brown of Mission Viego, CA; niece, Marilynn (Sandy) Pitterd of Walland, TN; three great nephews and one great niece.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
