Danny attended and graduated from Ledford High School. After graduation, he joined the Navy and spent twenty years serving our country as a Hospital Corpsman. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and participating in shooting competitions. All who knew him will miss him.
Danny is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tina Hutchens; two children, Coty Lynn Hutchens-Cox and husband Trey, Charley Hutchens; mother Ella Marie Kanoy Leinbach; brother Craig Hutchens, sisters Lori Hutchens Whitaker and husband Eddie, Amy Hutchens Rochester. Many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and a host of friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles and Mary Kanoy as well as his uncle Richard Kanoy.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 967 Phillips Avenue, High Point, NC 27262 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at his mother's home.
