Danny Eugene Thomas, 68, of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away on July 30, 2026. Born December 7, 1957, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Danny was the son of the late Carlyle and Margaret Stamey Thomas.
Danny graduated from Ledford High School. Once graduated, Danny made his living as a truck driver and also worked various other jobs. Through steady work and a dependable spirit, he showed the quiet devotion of someone who could be counted on—day after day, mile after mile.
Danny found enjoyment in the simple pleasures that brought him peace and familiarity. He loved fishing and hunting, took pride in collecting knives and guns, and could often be found watching Westerns—drawn to their timeless stories and steady sense of right and wrong.
A faithful member of Promise Baptist Church of Thomasville, NC, Danny lived his faith in consistent, practical ways. He served on the transportation board and was a devoted presence at fellowship meals, where his kind-hearted nature and generous spirit were felt in the warmth of community and shared time together. He was deeply loved by those who knew him, and his presence will be missed within the church and throughout the community.
Preceding in Danny’s death are his parents; three brothers, Carl, Alfred, and Kenneth; his sister, Wanda; three sisters-in-law, Diane, Betty, and Betty; and his three brothers-in-law, Gordon, Joe and Jim.
Survivors left to honor Danny’s legacy are his three sisters, Judy Combs, Ann Dollaeye, and Sue Massey, and many nieces and nephews.
