Dawn was born on October 29, 1942 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She grew up in High Point, North Carolina where she graduated from High Point High School in 1960. Dawn attended and graduated from East Carolina University in 1964 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree.
Dawn is survived by her sister, Lisa L. Austin; her Son Terry P. Best of High Point, NC, her daughters; Brooke B. Pollard of Swansboro, NC and Meghan B. Soper of High Point NC. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Sayle, Grace, and Scarlett Pollard, and Isabella Soper, and many family members and friends.
Dawn is proceeded in death by her Parents Kate and Sumter Austin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Sechrest Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Lexington Ave. in High Point, NC on Thursday April 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
