Deborah Elaine Broddy, 59 years old was born to the late Robert Lee Broddy and Vermell Harley Broddy on April 4, 1959 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She departed from this earthly life at 6:35am on Saturday February 9, 2019 at Hospice Home at High Point who provided great care & compassion as her body surrendered to the Lord.
Deborah was very creative, talented and a beautiful loving soul. She was also known to family and friends as Sista or Bae.
Left to celebrate her life is her loving son, Theodis Darnell Broddy of High Point, NC; two brothers Larry Harley of High Point, NC and Jack Dupree of Bennettsville, SC; two sisters Geneva Broddy and Regina Broddy Crump of High Point, NC; one brother-in-law Anthony Crump; four nieces Brittany McNeil, Alexis Crump, Alanna Crump, Alesha Crump; one nephew Brandon Broddy and one great nephew Caleb Broddy; her four-legged sister, Parris “Sweetpea” Broddy and a special friend of 17 years Benny Bryant of High Point, NC.
Deborah had aunts & uncles that were very special to her: Mr. & Mrs. Merchant and Virginia Harley of Bennettsville, SC; Elizabeth Cole, Daniel Johnson and Mary Alston of High Point, NC and a host of cousins and close friends.
A Celebration of Deborah’s life will be Saturday, February 16 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Gregory Burris. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Carolina Biblical Gardens.
