He was the son of the late Grover Alton and Nell Gulledge Pryor, born on November 21, 1931 in Guilford County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Bobby Jean Phillips Pryor of the home; son, Donald Owen “Donnie” Pryor, Jr. of High Point; daughter, Lillian Ann Stutts of Zebulon; sister, Jackie Auman of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joshua Stutts and wife Heather of Raleigh, Jeremiah Stutts of Zebulon, and Brandi Crowder and husband Brandon of Henderson; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Tristan Stutts and Aidan Crowder and six nieces and nephews.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Floral Garden Cemetery.
