Donna Mae McCully

Donna Mae McCully, 92, of High Point, NC, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, in High Point, NC. She was born March 20, 1934, in Shawano, WI, to the late Felix and Lillian (Griese) Lang. Donna graduated from Shawano High School in the class of 1952. On August 15, 1959, she was united in marriage to John J. McCully at St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Green Bay, and later Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in High Point. She loved to spend time with her husband and children, who were her pride and joy. She was a serious and careful researcher of the genealogy of both sides of the family and developed strong connections with many online cousins. She enjoyed visiting with and sharing the results of her work with her extended family, such as her many cousins in Wisconsin.

Donna is survived by her loving husband John of 67 years, and four children: Michael McCully, High Point, NC; David (Kay) McCully, Appleton, WI; Susan (Ralph) Beck, Menomonee Falls, WI and Daniel (Rebecca) McCully, Colorado Springs, CO. Grandsons Zachary McCully, Ethan McCully, Thomas Ziegert and family, and Brian Ziegert and family, and nephews James Boehlke and family and Mark Boehlke and family also survive. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Marjorie (Lang) and Milton Boehlke, and her nephew Dr. Gregory Boehlke.

A private memorial service will be held in the chapel at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Home of High Point for the wonderful care they gave Donna while she was a resident there.
