Dottie was born September 23, 1935 in Guilford County, a daughter of the late John Nelson Campbell and Margaret Pearl Winters. She was a volunteer and taught classes at the Roy B. Culler Senior Center. Dottie made ceramic dolls and figurines at her workshop.
Dottie loved to crack jokes, with a side of sarcasm. She married the love of her life, Leslie Diener in 1954 until his passing in 2012.
Preceded Dottie's death are her daughter, Penny Thompson and her sister, Peggy Dagenhart.
Surviving Dottie's legacy is her son, Scott Diener (Lisa), her niece, Debbie Pullum (Billy) and two great nephews, Chase and Travis.
A special thank you to Dottie's neighbors, Connie and Mike, who always had her back, took her places and kept her yard manicured and to Teresa, Dottie's spiritual sister, who helped with Jackson, Dottie's fur baby and prayed and fellowshipped together.
The family will have a private visitation in honor of Dottie's life.
The family is under the care of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of High Point. Online condolences may be shared at www.SechrestDavisPhillipsAvenue.com - select obituaries.
