Dwight Idol was a prolific song writer as well as a singer and musician in addition to all the other past-tmes he enjoyed. He was an awesome and avid golfer, and in retirement worked part-time at the Golf Course so that he could play when he wanted (which was almost every day of the week!). When I was a single mom of two and lived in High Point NC also, he and Annette kept my children while I worked from the time they were six weeks old until I remarried and we moved to Virginia. They were a great influence on my children as were their daughters Susan and Sherry and I cannot express how grateful I was to them for that. Rest In Peace Dwight. You WILL be sorely missed!❤️

We remember Dwight’s infectious smile and laugh. He always lightened everyone’s heart around him. Many get their PhD in sciences. But Dwight had his PhD in common sense, which he often gently shared with us.
Dwight was the first to teach our very young son the joy of playing golf. We are also very grateful that Annette taught our son life long lessens while we were at work. We are looking forward to being with Dwight again in heaven.
