Mrs. Frances Mozell Humble York, 92, passed away on November 11, 2011 at Westchester Manor. She was born on December 17, 1918 in Randolph County to the late Henry Fletcher and Lillian Spoon Humble. She was retired in 1959 from Tomlinson Furniture as a sewer and inspector. She was a member of Oakview United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn B. York in 1991, brothers, Malcolm, Herman, Lewis and Eugene Humble, and sister, Jewel Humble.
Surviving Mrs. York are her brother, H. C. Humble of Enterprise, Alabama; nieces, Joy Russell and Eloise Wright, both of Asheboro; and a nephew, Gary York of Archdale. She also leaves behind close friends, Darrell and Glenda Bumgarner of High Point.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14th at Floral Garden Cemetery. The Reverend Eric Peacock will officiate. Friends will be received from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. before the service on Monday at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westchester Baptist Church Building Fund, 135 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
