George Salamalekis

George was born to Sofoklis Salamalekis and Angela Perrou Salamalekis on February 24, 1974 in Cleveland Ohio. He grew up and spent most of his life in High Point, graduating from High Point Andrews High School in 1992. George loved the outdoors, cooking, landscaping and most of all his family.

He was preceded in death by his son, George Alexander Salamalekis; brother, Mike Salamalekis father, Sofoklis Salamalekis and grandfather Emmanuel Perrou.

George is survived by his son, Michael Salamalekis; mother Angela Perrou; sisters, Stella Church (Jamie) and Sylvia Hinson; grandmother Sylvia Perrou; and nieces Madison Hinson and Brianna Church and nephew Jamie Church and several family members in Ohio.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to St. George Greek Orthodox Church at 808 N Hamilton St, High Point, NC 27262.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in High Point. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
