Ms. Georgia Williams Winslow, 65, of Archdale, North Carolina, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born April 9, 1961, in Guilford County, Georgia was the daughter of Fletcher Wilson Jr. and Katherine Josephine Groves Williams.
Georgia graduated from GTCC with a degree in the Nursing Program and devoted her working life to caring for others. She served for many years at Maryfield Nursing Home (now Pennybyrn) and also worked for the Presbyterian Home, now River Landing. She was apart of the Visiting Angels, continuing a steady pattern of service marked by compassion, steadiness, and a selfless concern for the well-being of those around her.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Georgia raised her daughter and two sons; Samantha, Matthew and Michael. She cherished time with family, especially her three grandbabies, and her love for them was evident in the everyday ways she showed up—faithful, kind-hearted, and unwavering.
Georgia’s interests reflected both curiosity and joy. She loved reading mysteries and thrillers, and she enjoyed adventures like the beach and the mountains. She also took pleasure in favorite shows—X-Files, NCIS, House M.D.!—and found deep appreciation in nature and that beholds of it. Through it all, Georgia carried a warm humor and an easy smile, and she had a gift for seeing the best in people.
Georgia was a member of High Point Family Worship Center, where her faith remained a steady anchor. She was also an animal rescue advocate, extending her care beyond her immediate circle with the same gentle devotion that defined her life.
Those who knew Georgia will remember a resilient spirit—a strong warrior who took a stand and never wavered—paired with an empathetic heart. She spoke her mind, yet kept others’ well-being at heart, offering strength with sincerity and kindness with conviction. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, Georgia will be greatly missed.
Preceded in Georgia's death was her father, Fletcher Williams Jr., her daughter, Samantha Carter, her sister, Heather Johnson, and her baby brother, Fletcher Williams III.
