Hazel Allred died Friday, March 6, at Hillside Nursing Center, Wake Forest, NC where she had been a resident for several years. Hazel was born in Anderson, SC to Clint and Idell Darby and moved to High Point as a child. She worked at Burlington Mills, Diamond Mills and retired from Hatteras Yachts. In 1985 she moved to Raleigh to be close to family. Hazel cared deeply for her family and was who we turned to for support and encouragement. Hazel was predeceased by her husband George, her sisters Freda Erwin, Sarah Nicola, Marie Marsh and her brother Elmer Darby. She is survived by daughter Christine Frazier, son in law Cam of Sunset Beach, NC, granddaughter Liz Woodall (Chad), great granddaughters Kailyn and Kindley Woodall of Raleigh, NC and sister Betty Sleeth of Titusville, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 with a visitation from 12-1 pm at Sechrest Funeral Home and a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Floral Gardens.
