She was born to the late Nathaniel Courtsworth and Carrie Moore Mason on June 11, 1917 in Guilford County. She worked and retired from Adams Millis as an office manager.
In addition to her parents, Miss Mason was preceded in death by her sisters, Billie S. Bowden and Edith M. Dixon, a brother, Robert C. “Buck” Mason and a nephew, Randall C. Mason.
Helen is survived by her nieces, Beverly (Fred) Shumaker of Little River, SC, Jeanne (Neill) Jennings of Greensboro and Sandy (Pickens) Johnston of Rock Hill, SC; and nephews, Brandon (Renee) Dodson of Charleston, SC, Nicholas Dodson of Atlanta, GA, and Connley Skeen of Anderson, SC.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Floral Garden Cemetery. Sechrest Funeral Service is assisting the Mason family.
