Mr. J P Elliott, 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025 following a brief illness.
J P was born in Horry County, SC, February 9, 1935, a son of the late Smith Elliott and Eva Small Elliott. He retired from Shelba Johnson Trucking after many years of service, a career he thoroughly enjoyed. J P was a former volunteer with the 10-A fire department. He loved camping and enjoyed spending time at his High Rock lake house.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Ineta Kennedy Elliott; a son, Mike Elliott; two grandchildren, Amy Armfield and Adam Elliott (Heather); and three great-grandchildren, Emery Elliott, Everly Elliott and Lively Armfield.
A Celebration of J P 's life will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Josh Sands. Burial will follow in Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 until 3 p.m.
