

Mr. Jackson was born December 22, 1923 in York County, S. C. to William Floyd and Jennie Hughes Jackson. He had been a resident of Jamestown since 1960 and recently moved to the Charlotte area. Mr. Jackson graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was formerly employed with Carolina Steel Company in product management and was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church in Jamestown. Mr. Jackson served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Corp.
He was preceded in death by his first wife ,Betty Starr Jackson and his second wife, Orianna Scott Teague Jackson, his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Helen Owen and Mrs. Mary Reese Allen and one brother, William F. Jackson, Jr.
Surviving are his daughter; Mrs. Marian Starr Boler of Charlotte, two step-daughters; Mrs. Judy Davis of Lynchburg, VA. and Mrs. Elizabeth Teague Greeson of Jamestown and one sister; Mrs. Florence Workman of Anaheim, CA. There are seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m.in the Chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service with the Reverend Carol Carkin officiating. Interment will follow the service in Carolina Biblical Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
