

Jerry was born in Hoke County, December 28, 1941, a son of the late James Allen Jordan and Myrtle Evelyn McFayden Jordan. He was an Army veteran and was an electrician with Martin Marietta Aggregates prior to his retirement after 50 years of service. Jerry was active with the United Methodist Men Missions’ Team for many years and a former member of the Lion’s Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jones Jordan and a brother, Leo Jordan.
Surviving are four children, Melanie Jordan Pless and Buddy Pless, Amy Jordan, Bradley Allen Jordan and Debbie Jordan, and Evelyn Jordan; a sister, Linda Godwin, “brother”, Jim Lain; sister-in-law Joan Jordan; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; special nephew, Perry and Lori Godwin; numerous nieces and nephews; amazing caregivers, Mame Maty, Tina Guthrie, Erika Mata, Renea Coleman and Tina Williams.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be directed to Amedysis Hospice of Burlington. Online condolences may be made at davisfuneralsandcremations.com.
