Mrs. Kathleen Wood Hedgecock, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7th, at her home.

She was born at home in Surry County, NC on June 30, 1923, the daughter of J.R. (Oscar) Wood and Nacie Coe Wood, and made Davidson County her home most of her life. Kathleen graduated from Wallburg High School in 1941. She met and married the love of her life, Herman (Tootie) Hedgecock with whom she celebrated 42 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1984. She was a loyal and active member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.
