High Point – Lena Kate Horton Brown, 91, passed away on June 20th, 2017. She was born on January 5th, 1926 to the late Isaac Davis Horton and Olivia Sawyer Horton in Danville, Virginia. Lena was a lifelong resident of High Point and a member of Green Street Baptist Church.
Lena is survived by her niece Joann Amos (Junior) as well as several other nieces and nephews; Brother-in-law Arnold Brown; and her friends and neighbors Henry and Belvia Baker.
Lena is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Robert Brown.
A funeral service will be held for Lena on Thursday, June 22nd at 2pm at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point. Visitation will take place at 1pm at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point. Burial will follow funeral services at Floral Garden Park.
