Lyndon "Brent" Kennedy, a beloved husband, father, and friend, age 51, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 14, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Brent was born in Surry County, March 14, 1973, a son of the late Reverend Jacob "Clayton" Kennedy and Thelma Vestal Kennedy. He co-owned and operated Kennedy's Grading Incorporated, alongside his nephew, Cale Kennedy. With an "eagle eye" and his attention to detail, Brent was able to have an incredibly successful career that he built from the ground up. He was well loved and respected within the construction world, a community that he was proud to be part of. Those who knew Brent knew of his witty and sarcastic personality. He was also kind and helpful to those in need. Brent enjoyed four wheeling, spending time at High Rock Lake and being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Kennedy and Stephen Kennedy.
Surviving are his loving wife of 28 years, Susan Kennedy; a daughter, Nicole Kennedy; three sisters, Sheila Whitman, Louise Saintsing and Gwen Harris and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Brent's life will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 6 p.m. by the Reverend Josh Sands in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis High Point. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County.
