Mrs. Margaret L Locklear

Margaret was born in Roland, August 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Stebbin and Florence Oxendine Lowery. She retired from Pennybyrn at Maryfield after many years of service. Margaret loved her family and enjoyed keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of High Point Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clyde Locklear.

Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Streett, Susie Monell and her husband Jack and Joan Hix and her husband Keith; two sons, David Locklear and his wife Betty and Terry Locklear; eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held Monday at 12 noon in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Steve Nichols. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 until 12 noon a the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
