Margene Boorde

March 26, 1944 – June 16, 2025

Ina Margene Boorde, age 81, passed away at her home in High Point North Carolina on Monday June 16,2025.

She was born March 26, 1944 in Brownsville, Texas, to Joseph Robert Shinpaugh and Margie Marie Shinpaugh.

She graduated from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas, with a degree in Education. She taught in an elementary school in New Braunfels, Texas, for several years. Later she graduated with a masters in Education from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Margene was a member of Westchester Baptist Church.

Margene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Boorde, and her parents, Joseph Robert Shinpaugh and Margie Marie Shinpaugh.

She is survived by her brother, Earl L. Shinpaugh; sister-in-law, Helen M. Shinpaugh. Also two nieces, Marian R. Davis and Amy L. Russell. Also five grand nieces and five grand nephews.

A funeral service for Margene will be held Wednesday June 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Westchester Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina, with Dr. Eric Peacock officiating. Interment to follow at God’s Acre on the Mills Home Campus, Thomasville.
