Marjorie Lea Motsinger Black

Marjorie Lea Motsinger Black-82-passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Hospice Home in High Point with her family by her side. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Homer Worth and Ora Lea Fuller Motsinger. She married the love of her life Charles Hollis Black on August 10, 1952. Marjorie worked for many years as an operator for North State Telephone Company . She was a member of the Unity United Methodist Church in Thomasville. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and her beautiful smile. Everything she did, she did with love. Marjorie was very happy working in her home and loved taking walks to enjoy our beautiful earth. She enjoyed reading, especially poetry, and spending vacation time at the beach and mountains with her family. Marjorie bravely fought a 20-year battle with Alzheimer’s and now can reap the rewards of her good life with loved ones who have gone before.

Besides her parents Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Hollis, and two sisters, Eloise Ridgill and Bobbie Jean Roberts.

She is survived by her daughter Robin Bramlett of the home, grandsons Kevin Hollis and Charles Lucas Bramlett, sisters Janice Johnson and husband Robert, Phyllis Maready and husband Harry, and brother Larry Motsinger and wife Mary. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her husbands loving family.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, 3:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point. Entombment will follow at Floral Gardens Memorial Park in High Point. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Sechrest Funeral Services in High Point from 6-8 pm.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Hospice Home in High Point, 1803 Westchester Drive, High Point NC 27262.
