She was born October 27, 1932 in High Point, a daughter of Charles B. Peatross and Rhoda Duggins Peatross. She lived most of her life in High Point and graduated from High Point High School. She was a charter member of Covenant Church United Methodist.
On April 18, 1952, she married her loving companion of 67 years, Bill Albert Kirby, who survives of the home, along with their faithful, precious dog, Punkin. She is also survived by several special nieces and nephews and many special friends.
According to her husband she was the best homemaker and companion that a man could ever wish for and he misses the love and the guidance she gave him.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Church United Methodist at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 with Rev. Darren Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the beginning of the service.
