Michael was born on July, 11, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Michael Lewis and Katherine Drieling Mundy.
Michael graduated from Webster High School and moved to North Carolina in 1982 to open and manage High Point Table--a division of McKay Custom Products. Michael married Reta Smedley with whom had two children, Samuel and Jessica. Michael's favorite baseball team was the St.Louis Cardinals and he loved playing golf and tennis.
Preceded Michael's death was his parents and his daughter Jessica.
Survivors are his son, Samuel Alexander Mundy, one granddaughter; Isabella Hardy and two grandsons; Jayden Amond Hardy and James Ashton Hardy.
