Norene Lela Davis, 93, went peacefully to meet her Lord surrounded by her family on June 25, 2019 at her residence.

Norene was born in Twin Falls, ID, October 29, 1925, a daughter of the late Elmer and Lela Clampett Annis. Heaven has gained a loving Mom and Grandma to her family and many other children. She was a woman who used her talents for cooking for her church in Texas as well as baking, sewing and knitting for friends and family and was known as the neighborhood Grandma. In her last 30 years, she has knitted thousands of pompom slippers and given them away to friends, family, children in orphanages, senior citizens in nursing homes, hospitals and hospice patients. We will miss her sweet smile, her homemade cinnamon rolls, playing cards and watching game shows with her. We take comfort in her salvation and know that she is celebrating her home going with Jesus. Norene was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Franklin Davis; a daughter, Kathy McClimans; her siblings, Howard, Wayne, Wesley and Amil Annis, Elsie Annis Marsh, Mona Annis Dodd. She was a member of Laurel Oak Christian Church and a welcome visitor at Triad Church.

Surviving are five children, Betty Taylor, Jeff Davis and wife Katie, Ivis "Bo" Davis, June Arnold, Lyle Davis and wife Beverly; a brother, Clyde Annis; sixteen grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

We will be celebrating Norene's life and restoration at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Allen Brown and Pastor Todd Howerton. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. and at other times at the residence. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont.

I loved going to visit Uncle Carl and Aunt Noreen when I was younger. For me it was always a fun time playing with the kids and eating good food. When the family moved back east I had lost touch with them and fairly recently I found them again. I am so grateful for all of you and us coming back together. I love Aunt Noreen's pictures and you can tell she was so loved by so many people. RIP Aunt Noreen you are so deserving.

I remember going to Grandmas house and dressing the christmas tree almost every year. That’s one of the best memories I have. Grandma you were such a kind and gentle soul and I wish you could’ve been here to meet your new great great grand baby in October but I’m so grateful for the time I did have with you and I know no matter how hard life gets to always think of the way you use to make me smile . You were so amazing in every single way.

- Your Great Grandson Blake
