Mrs. Phyllis Wilson Sipley, 80, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation. Phyllis was born on September 21, 1935 in Mooresville, NC to the late Elmer and Nell Wilson. She was a bookkeeper, having worked at Miller Optical and M&M Builders. Phyllis also held offices at American Legion Auxiliary Unit 53 in Greensboro and was a Senior Regent at Women of the Moose, Chapter 961, High Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant child. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Wade Sipley of the home; son, Bill Sipley of the home; daughter, Mary Morgan and her husband Ben of Mocksville; two grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Morgan; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Norman and George Wilson. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at 2 pm Monday, Oct 12th in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, 976 Phillips Avenue, High Point, with Pastor George Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
