Ray was born in Charleston, WV, October 25, 1939, a son of the late Romie and Hazel Tinsley. He was a retired truck driver and a faithful member of Westchester Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Patricia Tinsley; two sons, John Tinsley (Elizabeth) and Brian Tinsley (Jamie); five grandchildren; a twin brother, Russell Tinsley (Betty).
A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Westchester Baptist Church by the Rev. Eric Peacock. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the service and at other times the home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
