Richard was born in High Point, April 18, 1952, a son of the late Hubert Franklin Cromer and Mary Ruth Perdue Cromer. He was a machine operator in the packaging industry for 40 years, retiring from Sealed Air. Richard enjoyed collecting, NASCAR and was of the Baptist faith. He loved this family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jane Cromer and a step-daughter, Frances Richards.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Michael Richards and Ashland Wiseman; a great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Leonard; a sister, Linda Bolling and her husband Jack; a step-son, Larry Wiseman and a niece, Christina Burris.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 401 W. Holly Hill Rd., Thomasville by Wayne Perdue. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
