

Richard Lynn Peele, born on September 25, 1954, in High Point, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 71. Richard, known affectionately as Rick, was a resident of Trinity, North Carolina. He was a man of many admirable qualities, remembered for being hard-working, humorous, honest, loyal, patient, devoted, and faithful.
Rick had a long and successful career at Flowers Baking Company of Jamestown. He held many roles but was most passionate about his position as the shipping superintendent, retiring after 37 years of dedicated service.
He was born to the late Barbara Montgomery and shared a loving marriage with Angela Peele for 51 years. Together, they raised two sons, Adam Peele (Jackie) and Aaron Peele (Megan). Rick was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Sydney Buck Peele, Ava Peele, Alex Peele, Allie Peele, Jace Peele, and Presley Peele. He is also survived by his sister, Christine Dowdy (Rick).
In his personal life, Rick enjoyed playing golf, following UNC sports, cooking barbecue and Brunswick stew, and spending time with his beloved dogs. He cherished moments with his grandchildren and had a fondness for watching classic television shows like Andy Griffith, MASH, and Sanford and Sons. Rick was a music enthusiast, with a particular love for Elvis, Marty Robbins, and Beach music. His favorite songs included "Amazing Grace," "You'll Never Walk Alone," "Hallelujah," and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay."
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at Guilford Park Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be directed to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
Rick's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
