

Mrs. Ruth Inez Hudson Crater, of Archdale, passed away January 1, 2016 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. A resident of this area all of her life, Ruth was born in Randolph County to the late Rufus and Florence Hudson. She was a member of Midway Wesleyan Church and had retired as a teacher’s assistant at Trindale Elementary School in Archdale. Ruth especially enjoyed reading, writing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Buren Hartsell Crater, six sisters, and three brothers. Surviving are her daughter, Ginger Plemmons and her husband Ernie of Trinity; granddaughter, Emily Paschal and her husband Slade of Calhoun, GA; brother, Ray Hudson and his wife Louise of Randleman; special nieces, Lisa Serafini and her husband Mike and Kam Holtz; special nephew, Brian Jarrell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held Monday, January 4th at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Ruth’s son-in-law, Rev. Ernie Plemmons officiating. At Ruth’s request, no formal visitation will be held. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Peter Ennever and his staff for their genuine care and concern for Ruth.
