Jane, Jeddy and Family: So sorry to hear of you mom's passing. Ruth was such a special person. Beautiful both inside and out. I cherish many fond memories of "the sisters" as they tried to control us 4 kids. She was a true gem. My thoughts are with you.

We were so very sorry to hear of Ms. Smith's passing. She was a wonderful lady and we were so blessed to have known her. We always enjoyed hearing stories of Carolina Beach and how both Mr. and Mrs. Smith came to the beach. We will cherish those memories always. Praying for all the family.

Love, The Vreeland Family, Robert, Lynne, William, Jenny, Jimmy, Carolyn, Ashley and Leah Jean.

I'm so sorry to hear about this lady, she was a sweet lady. I had her for a teacher at Union Hill school in the 6th grade. Even at a young age I remember how she would help the kids that would be a little slow in learning. Ray Clodfelter
