Mrs. Sallie Frances Dockery, 92, a resident of Greensboro Retirement Center and a former resident of High Point, passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Dockery was born in Stokes County, May 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Zeb Vance Mabe and Ressie Davis Mabe. She retired from Patrician Furniture after 40 years of service and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Sallie was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Dockery III, her son, Benjamin Franklin Dockery IV, and four siblings. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Dunn and her husband A.C. of Siler City; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Sallie’s Life will be held Saturday, May 24th at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel in High Point, North Carolina by Pastor Cameron Dockery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the music fund for First United Methodist Church, 1101 W.
