My warmest regards and sympathy for your loss of "Jackie."
He was a good person, a good son and I am sure a good husband and father.
Jackie and I grew up together in Madison...I knew him from the time we were about 9 years old. Lived two doors down the street and spent many days playing with Jackie and laughing at and with his mother, Lib.
We were both catchers in little league...two team league...he caught for one and I for the other. In high school he was much better so I rode the bench behind him, unless in a night game his glassew fogged up!
He was also a VERY good and smart student and a good football player. Like his brother, Siggie, he was starting center for three years. Coach Cure nicknamed him "Bird Legs" which was a term of endearment.
Sorry for the the long story, but Jackie was a very special person.
