Sheila Dwyer Payne

Sheila Dwyer Payne, 69, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 9, 2021 following a brief illness.

Sheila was born in Plymouth, MA, September 4, 1951, a daughter of the late James Edward Dwyer and Catherine Cahill Dwyer. She loved being with her husband, children and grandchildren and enjoyed crocheting and eating at the Pepper Mill. Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Hatfield and four sisters.

Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Burl "Poncho" Payne, Jr.; two daughters, Mariann Teixeira and Sheila Franklin and her companion Chris Merritt; five grandchildren, Carissa Thomas, Jayla Franklin, Kayla Franklin, Hope Franklin and Emily Castro.

A Celebration of Sheila's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Chapel, 1301 E. Lexington Ave., High Point, NC
