Shirley Irene (Albertson) Probert

Shirley Irene Albertson Probert, age 80, of Trinity, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born in Guilford County, NC on March 22, 1944 to Robert Glenn Albertson and Dorothy Elizabeth Robbins Albertson.

Shirley had a big love for animals. She bred and showed Borzoi Dogs on top of teaching dog obedience training for many years. Shirley never met a stranger. This trait is what helped her with selling insurance over the years. She loved cooking and baking bread. Cookbooks were her book of choice. She would spend hours reading them and finding new things to make. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by two brothers, Bill Albertson (Kay) and Frank Albertson (Jackie); three sisters, Ann Hopkins, Georgia Kenny (Garland) and Frances White; four nieces Donna Albertson, Lisa Philbeck, Kristi Thompson and Angela Albertson; four nephews, Kent Hopkins, Gregory Albertson, Jonathan Albertson and Joey Philbeck; her best friends Susan Daniels and Jason Ashe.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Albertson and Don Albertson; two sisters Josephine Albertson and Lucille Albertson.

A memorial service for Shirley will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Ave, High Point, North Carolina 27262.
