

Sylvia Anne Siebert White went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Wednesday morning August 2, 2017. She was born in Winston Salem on July 2, 1932 to James and Dura Siebert who predeceased her.
Sylvia was married to William Chase White Sr. on July 15, 1950. They were married for more than 58 years until his death in 2008. Lovingly known as “Grandmommie” to family and friends alike, she lived in High Point for over 67 years. She was honored to be named Miss Salisbury in 1949.
She is survived by sisters Dura Jean McCulley, Gail Honeycutt (Charlie), Sallie Moser, and predeceased by a brother James Siebert, Jr. (Sarah.) Sylvia White is survived by her three children: Ellen Rives Millis, Chase White (DeLana), Alan White (Terri), and daughter-in-law Joan Angel (Terry.) She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great- Grandchildren: Holland Holt (Bill) and children McCoy and Charles Graham; Jackson Rives (Beth) and children Warren, Libby, Hampton and Sutton; Brennan Vanderberry (Greer) and children Estelle, Madeleine and Lillian; Olivia Kiefer (David) and children Isabella and Carson. Also Grandchildren: Perren Rives, Jordan Rives, Harden Rives, Jesse Millis, Chase White III (Stephanie), Jade White, Jessica White and Alan White Jr.
Sylvia loved her sweet friend Irma Turner. The family extends our deepest gratitude to the caring and dedicated staff at Hospice Home of High Point. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday August 6th, 2017 at Hope City Church, 758 Motsinger Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27107 with the Reverend Ken Helser officiating. Burial will follow immediately thereafter at Oakwood Memorial Cemetary, High Point, NC. The family is being served by Sechrest Funeral Services Inc.
