Jamestown - Virginia Ann Stone Thomas passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born March 30, 1936, in Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of the late James Alton and Virginia Swanson Stone.
Virginia attended and graduated from Reynolds High School and Meredith College. She was a devoted member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Her husband, Walter C. Thomas, Jr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, James Thomas (Ann) from Raleigh; and her daughter, Susan Thomas from Jamestown.
A funeral service for Virginia will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1401 Heathcliff Road, High Point, North Carolina 27262. The family will greet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Meredith College, or Hospice of the Piedmont.
