Amy Sue Turner

Born in Sandusky, Ohio on March 3, 1966, Amy was the loving daughter of Mary Jane Hester and stepfather John Robert Hester Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt Sarah Grace Lutz, two dogs, and numerous cats- most notably Dennis “the Menace” and Creatie.

She is survived by John- her tall, handsome, beloved husband of 25 years. Amy also leaves behind her sister Lisa Ann Schmuck, uncle Clifford K Mitts Sr (Sarah “Dolly” F), as well as numerous other cousins and friends. Her memory will remain in the hearts of the many lives she touched.

Amy graduated Norwalk (Ohio) High School in 1984. In Michigan, she earned her Associate’s degree from Oakland Community College in 2001. She worked at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital Pathology Department in Pontiac for 25 years. Amy was also a longtime dealer at an antique store in Millington, Michigan.

Beyond her professional life, she had a passion for thrifting, appreciation of watching the wildlife in her wooded backyard, was a great cook, and an avid reader. Amy had a hard time keeping a secret. She gave the best hugs just like her mom.

The family will host a memorial service for family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite animal shelter.
