

Betty Evelyn Raupp, age 95, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home, on Sunday, December 18th, 2022. Born on August 7, 1927, in Ecorse, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Elsie (Boynton) Knox. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edmond Raupp Sr., in 1999. Her husband’s Mother Rose LaFramboise Raupp also passed away on this day in 1956. Betty and Harold were married for over 50 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her eleven children; Harold (Gloria) Raupp Jr., Rosemary (Skip) Davis, Esther (Jerry) Pease, Gerrianne Raupp, Susan (Mike) Ostrander, Stephen Raupp, Lorne (Penny) Raupp, Linda (Morrey) Law, Robert (Laurie) Raupp, Barbara (Kevin) Papuga and John (Janette) Raupp; her seventy-five grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved cat Bert and dogs Bella and Rueger. Betty’s family spanned over five living generations, they were her pride and joy….”All because two people fell in love.”
Betty’s love of the water began as a teenager sailing her sailboat on the Detroit River, to raising her eleven children on Mandon Lake and ultimately moving to White Lake Twp., into a beautiful stone home built by her loving husband, complete with a pool, where she enjoyed many hours watching her grandchildren learn to swim.
Betty was a founding parishioner at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Highland, Michigan. Her faith was deep and she was known to be a prayer warrior for her family and friends. Betty also had a passion for music and joined the Sweet Adeline’s, where she sang and enjoyed traveling and competing for many years.
Betty loved Christmas and sending each family member their own card. Her card ministry kept her busy throughout the years, never forgetting birthdays or anniversaries.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 Harvey Lake Road, Highland, Michigan 48356. Betty’s family will receive visitors at the Church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. A burial will follow at White Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may consider a contribution in Betty’s memory to a charity of your choice this Holiday Season.
