My Dear Chet. What a wonderful and kind soul. He was a survivor for sure. Very independent. Gave all of his time when asked to participate in any ceremony and at Church even at the age of 91. He was just always there. Loved people. Loved chatting about his opinions about yesterday, today and the future. That was the Navy in him. He took a huge part of me when he left. God Bless you Chet. Chet was one in a million, he was from a generation that knew the meaning of respect, friendship and the true value of being a good person.  He was one of my best friends.  I will miss his visits, his stories of when we worked together.  He loved to tell the ppl at the counter the story of how we could handle a lunch hour of 75 ppl all by ourselves!  Him in the kitchen and me waiting tables.  Everyone had heard the story a million times before, but they listened attentatively each and every time!  He was a master story teller and a great man. My family and I would always spend Christmas day with Uncle Chet and Aunt Irene. It was part of our tradition till my brothers and I had gotten older. I will really miss him, especially when we go back home for a visit. Love you Uncle Chet!

I have known Chester for about 10 years.  He was always very friendly and a real gentleman.  He greatly mourned his wifes passing which we discussed more than once.  He was also very fond of his pet dog.  He is another example of the Greatest Generation that are leaving us much to soon.  

My sincerest sympathy to his family members.  He will be greatly missed.

Even though we only knew Chet for a mere twenty years of his life, we will miss him dearly, especially his culinary skills.  Delicious pasties, rice pudding, pecan pie and more.  It was bitter/sweet he joined his wife Irene, the love of his life, on Valentines Day.   Rest In Peace dear Friend.  Forever in our prayers.  Love, Pat and Ron

God has promise to  all who have fallen asleep, that we will see them again.
 But in the meantime may the memories you shared with your

My last memory of uncle chester was just  August of 1017.My son got to meet him for the first time .We had a small Family get together. Uncle Chester had plenty of jokes and knew everyone in his town.I will miss that smile and heart of his...Until next time..

I have the best memories of Chet and his sweetest wife Irene. They were a big part of my youth and then raising my own children.We shared so many special moments from birthdays,picnics at V.f.w. and holidays together. Sorry to hear of this dear mans passing but cant help to shed a tear of  joy that he will be with his true love again. God bless this wonderful couple for they were the best. Love to them both Kim
