Dennis Blair Hovatter

Dennis “Den” Blair Hovatter, beloved husband of Debra Lee Hovatter, suddenly and sadly passed away September 17, 2022 at the age of 71 in White Lake Township, Michigan. Survived by his wife Deb, married for 45 “BLISSFUL” Years! Predeceased by his parents Christoff and Virginia Hovatter.

Employed as Marketing Manager for many companies for 40 years allowed him great insight into people. His higher education included an Associates Degree from Oakland Community College where he was then employed and advanced to a teaching position in Machine Tool Technology eventually forming and co-owning his business, Tap Saver. His community service included working with a state legislator, WOTA and the local Fire Department.

Dennis was a man of many accomplishments, activities, and hobbies that included home builder, tool and die specialist, locksmith, financial planner, wood and machine working, fishing & gun club enthusiast. He had a bright and energetic personality that touched so many lives with his generosity and passion for friends from all walks of life that could share in his own very full life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 from 11:00am to 2:00pm with a Memorial Service from 11:00am to 11:30am at the North Macomb Sportsmen's Club, 3231 Inwood Road, Washington, Michigan 48095. Luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
