Diane filled many roles in her 70 years of life; she was a hardworking and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was overflowing with kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. She touched everyone she met.
A lifelong Detroit sports fan, Diane cheered for the Tigers and Red Wings through highs and lows. She also had a special fondness for animals and subtly making it feel like Christmas year-round. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.
She grew up in Warren, Michigan and married Robert (Bob) Hilton in February 1976. They raised three sons in Roseville and spent many happy years at their second home in Port Austin. Bob and Diane moved to Macomb Township later in their retirement years; Diane lived in White Lake with her sister, Barbara, at the time of her passing.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents and by Bob, her cherished husband of 46 years.
Diane is survived by her children, Brad, Brian (Pamela), and Michael; her grandchildren, Ethan, Adrianna, Elijah, and Lillian; her brothers, Richard (Sue) Krupa and Robert (Debi) Krupa; her sisters, Barbara Krupa and Kathy (Bill) Meldrum; and many loved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and siblings-in-law.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, June 5 from 4pm to 8pm at Elton Black & Son Highland Chapel, 3295 East Highland Road. Visitation will also be held from 10am to 11am on Saturday, June 6, with a celebration of life service beginning at 11am. A luncheon will take place immediately following.
