He was a great teacher.  If you remember something taught you in high school its something.  I remember him saying over and over again 'Time is Money'   He was a good teacher.  I paid attention in his class and that is something.

Phyllis and Family:

Thinking of you all and wishing you peace during this time.  Ernie was such a joy to be around . . . fun, funny, and always so upbeat and smiling.  He and Phyllis were one of the reasons I so looked forward to the Seiverling ship reunions.  He will be sorely missed by all.

My condolences to Phyllis and the extended family of Ernie. I worked with him for several years at Andover where he was always supportive to students in my special education resource program. But beyond that he was a joyful man who was always will to talk and share a humorous situation. He made life better for so many.

Mr Shegina was the best teacher I ever had. Had him for business class for 3 years and he genuinely cared. (74-77)  Loved his drivers ed boots.  May he RIP, prayers and thoughts to the family

My deepest sympathies for your family. Mr. Shegina was the most amazing teacher! He explained everything and demanded the best of his students. His sense of humor welcomed and warmed the classroom. Such a magnificent soul.

I was so sorry to hear of Ernie's death. He was one of my favorite colleagues at Andover, with his easy laugh and positive outlook on life. Such a wonderful person! Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of this sad news. Ernie was one of the first people to welcome to Andover and made me feel at home. We shared a lot of good laughs and stories. He was a very special man, a good friend,  and a well loved teacher.  I send my condolences and prayers to all of you.

Dan Holloway and family send our warmest condolences. Mr. Shegina helped teach me the game of baseball and it was a pleasure to have played for him. Tough as nails, he didn't have to command respect, it was a given.

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Shegina taught me accounting at BH Andover HS. I liked it so much I became a CPA and had a 23 year career in that profession. With much respect and gratitude.

Mr. Shegina was respected by many students in Andover High School's Class of 1977. He was a great teacher and many of us also had him as a Driver Ed Instructor. He will remain in many student's memories for years to come...

So sorry to hear of your loss.  I was a student of his in the 1970's both in his accounting classes and my driver's education instructor.  I have many found memories of sitting in his class and working on the various projects. But he was more than just a teacher he was a mentor.  I owe him much for the person I turned out to be.  May his memory be for a blessing.
