Eunice Jane Everett, age 78, of White Lake, died Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Mission Point of Holly Assisted Living. Left to cherish her memory are her five children: Barbara Everett, Tony Everett, Scott (Patricia) Everett, Phil Everett, and Joe (Rebecca) Everett; her fourteen grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; her two siblings; and several other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Eunice was born December 14, 1942, in Lansing, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lyle and Mettie (White) Wiggins. She and Elden Everett were introduced by Elden’s sister, and shortly after they started dating, fell in love, and were married in June of 1961. Eunice and Elden shared fifty-five wonderful years together until Elden’s death on October 2, 2016. Throughout her life, Eunice stayed home taking care of her five children. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, and the Daughters of the Nile for many years. In her free time, Eunice loved to sew and quilt. She had fond memories of making various crafts for the patients at the Shriner’s Hospital. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by many.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Mettie; and her loving husband, Elden.
In accordance with Eunice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Highland chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland 48356. Eunice’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
